The B Street House Bed and Breakfast in historic Virginia City, Nevada has just received a Nevada State preservation award. After almost three years of renovation work, the once-derelict home was converted to a three-guest room B&B. The original home of Henry Piper, the Gothic Revival with Italinate influence one and one-half story home was completed in late 1875 as a present to Henry's new wife. Now fully restored, the home sat vacant for almost 30 years. The B Street House Bed and Breakfast is one half block north of Piper's Opera House on B street in Virginia City. Henry helped his brother John with Opera House management and also ran the saloon at the southwest corner of the Opera House.
